A $7 LoRA fine-tune of a 4B model that beats frontier models on real-web element accuracy: 75% on Mind2Web against 35% for Gemini 3.5 Flash and 30% for GLM-5.2.

A relational database built from scratch in Rust with zero runtime dependencies: slotted-page storage with MVCC, ARC buffer pool, B+ tree indexes, a cost-based optimizer, ARIES write-ahead logging, and a PostgreSQL wire protocol. On top of that, primary/replica log shipping and a logical change feed, plus an agent-isolation layer where the unit of isolation is an agent task rather than a transaction.

Founding Engineer, San Francisco (onsite)
Work across most of an LMS-connected study platform (Canvas, Brightspace). Cut cost per session from $0.75 to $0.11 across 5,000 sessions a month by routing to smaller models and scoping tool responses. Own the ingestion pipeline, which replaced a nightly full refresh with watermarked incremental sync and took worst-case staleness from 24 hours to under 5 minutes. Built the LLM-as-judge harness that gates prompt and model changes in CI, then audited it against re-labeled human data and split the gate per category. Shipped the retrieval pipeline, lifting recall@10 from 63% to 88%.
Kubernetes & Turso
Open Source Contributor, SIG API Machinery
Three PRs to kube-apiserver: fixed a nil-pointer dereference in Store.Watch and deflaked two test suites, including the API Priority and Fairness filters. Found and reported six defects in Turso, a SQLite-compatible database in Rust, fixing three by PR: a collation leak from IN, a use-after-free in extension aggregates used as window functions, and a LEFT JOIN + FTS panic.
FRC Team 7476, World Championships qualifier
Software Engineer
Led integration across a 6-person software subteam: wrote Java for arm, intake and shooter subsystems on top of WPILib, and debugged sensor and control issues live at competition. The team advanced through Niagara, North Bay and Ontario Provincials to qualify for the FIRST World Championships.
